Joint Roles of Proteomics and Neighborhood-level Predictors of de Novo Metastatic Prostate Cancer
A key challenge in the prostate cancer field is accurately forecasting which patients are destined for lethal prostate cancer (PCa). In response, an emergence of biomarkers to predict PCa lethality has occurred, along with an explosion of “-omics” data, providing biological information to complement “standard of care” variables to forecast PCa outcomes. There is growing appreciation that social factors influence cancer outcomes, yet studies that jointly examine biological and social factors to inform PCa risk stratification are sorely lacking.
