NIH mentored K awards support early‑career investigators by providing protected time for research and skills development. This session will guide candidates and mentors in preparing strong proposals that clearly align candidate career goals, research aims and mentor expertise to meet reviewer expectations.
By the end of the session, participants will be prepared to:
• Build a strong, appropriate mentoring team
• Identify the key elements of effective mentorship plans
• Develop a persuasive personal statement
