Becoming A Resilient Scientist
2-Part Workshop & Discussion Series
Hosted by Office of Graduate Studies & Trainee Affairs (OGSTA)
Tues. April 22nd & 29th | 12pm - 1pm
West Pavilion 5th Floor Conf. Room
The goal of this series is to provide trainees with the resilience tools needed to work in high-knowledge environments. The sessions will help you develop skills with the goal of improved relationships in research groups and beyond. The series is helpful for trainees and fellows at all levels.
The focus of these two sessions will be on Imposter Fears and common cognitive distortions. We will explore how our self-talk is generated and look at ways our self-talk can either help us be more resilient or how it can hurt us and hold us back. We will explore ways to recognize internal messages that distorts our views about our abilities and accomplishments
