This activity is designed to provide primary care providers an update on risk factors and indications for thromboprophylaxis in the oncology setting. Current guidelines are yet to reflect results from recent trials favoring the use of direct-acting oral anticoagulants for the reduction of recurrent cancer-associated thrombosis. Knowledge from practice as a guide will help in the treatment of challenging and difficult to treat sub-populations.
