“Why Vaginal Surgery is Important for Urology and the World”
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Understand the role of vaginal surgery in terms of economic and health care costs in high and low resource health care settings.
- Identify and understand the surgical principles of procedures that are best performed vaginally: vesicovaginal fistula repair, excision of urethral diverticulum, female urethroplasty.
- Understand the aetiology, diagnosis and management of vesico-vaginal fistula, urethral diverticulum, and female urethral stricture.
