Gynaecological disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and gynaecological cancers including ovarian cancer largely remain incurable. Functional genomics and nanotechnologies are enabling advances in our understanding of these diseases. In this seminar Prof Conlan will discuss research in the Reproductive Biology and Gynanecological research group at Swansea University, covering areas including interrogation of biological interfaces using Atomic Force Microscopy, identifying drugable pathways using transcription factor/chromatin analysis, along with a first-on-target Antibody-Drug-Conjugate, and nanodelivery systems being developed as interventions for ovarian cancer
