Join us Oct. 6-10 for the Surgical Technology & Robotics Surgery Summit (STaRS) —a premier event bringing together leading surgeons, engineers, researchers and innovators to explore the latest advancements in surgical robotics, imaging and AI-integrated technologies. This summit will feature live demonstrations, interactive panels and cutting-edge research aimed at shaping the future of surgical care.

This year’s STaRS Summit will feature the inaugural Surgical Technology & Robotic Surgery Innovator Competition, designed to inspire creative experimentation and advance the field of surgical robotics and imaging. The mission is to push the boundaries of surgical technology, foster bold new ideas, and accelerate the translation of innovation into real-world practice.

How It Works

• Participants select one of the seven featured technologies showcased at STaRS— including advanced robotic surgical systems, imaging platforms, and simulators.
• Each competitor must design and perform an innovative experiment or proof-of-concept study using their chosen platform. For example, piloting a novel surgical technique on a robotic system, testing a new imaging workflow or developing a unique training exercise on a simulator.
• Competitors will synthesize their results into a formal scientific abstract and submit it to a peer-reviewed scientific or clinical conference of their choice.
