Christopher L. Curfman, PhD, and Janell T. Cleveland will present “The Ins and Outs of Patenting Antibodies.” Curfman and Cleveland are patent experts from the office of Meunier Carlin & Curfman LLC and have worked on both antibody and genetic materials cases for Houston Methodist. Curfman has a scientific background in chemistry and pharmaceuticals and can provide guidance on patent prosecution, inventorship, non-infringement and invalidity opinions. Cleveland’s experiences include plant genetics, virology, bioinformatics, proteins, oligonucleotides and signaling pathways as well as in the areas of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
