The Academy of Physician Scientists, an initiative of Texas A&M University, in partnership with Houston Methodist and the Texas Medical Center, is one of only 10 medical schools in the nation to receive a highly prestigious Burroughs Wellcome Fund Physician-Scientist Institutional Award to catalyze highly innovative programs for training physicians for successful academic careers as physician-scientists.
