Eighth Annual MAPTA Summer Science Symposium

Join us for the Eighth Annual MAPTA Summer Science Symposium, a premier event showcasing groundbreaking research from our vibrant community of graduate trainees, postdoctoral fellows, and summer undergraduate interns.
Day 1 will feature podium presentations from our graduate trainees, medical students and postdoctoral fellows, highlighting their innovative research across all fields of translational, basic science, and clinical research.
Day 2 will feature poster presentations, including contributions from both our trainee community and the summer undergraduate interns. This day also serves as the capstone project for our interns, marking their final day in the program.
Eligible trainee participants will have the opportunity to compete for travel awards valued at up to $1,000.
Call for Abstracts: We are now accepting abstracts for the symposium. The deadline for submissions is 5PM on June 20, 2025.
We are also excited to announce the return of the PI Faculty Mentor of the Year Award. This award recognizes a principal investigator who has demonstrated exceptional mentorship, inspiring their mentees to achieve ambitious goals.
Call for Nominations: A mentor serves as both a teacher and a role model, inspiring their mentees to set ambitious goals and helping them achieve these goals. In appreciation of the contributions of truly outstanding mentors at the Academic Institute, MAPTA will honor one principal investigator (PI) with this prestigious award. The deadline for nominations is July 18, 2025.
