“The Hazards of Long-Term Urethral Catheterization in Women and Management of Their Complications”
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Participants should be able to:
- Recognize catheter-related complications at their early stage to be better able to prevent these including: bladder cancer, urinary tract infections, bypass leaking and urethral erosion
- Manage early complications of urethral catheters
- Diagnose more severe complications and plan for more advanced treatment
- Apply the current guidelines on bladder management in their patients to avoid complications
