OBJECTIVES

Analyze major updates in thyroid cytology and histopathologic classification, including changes in The Bethesda System and the World Health Organization 2022 Classification of Thyroid Tumors, and their implications for malignancy risk assessment.Evaluate the role and limitations of molecular testing within the context of cytologic histopathologic, radiologic, and clinical findings to refine thyroid nodule risk stratification.Apply risk-adapted management strategies, incorporating “less is more” principles to reduc overtreatment while maintaining oncologic safety in low-risk thyroid cancer.
